KP Snack’s new
state of the art pellet production plant is currently under construction and is
due to start production in March 2019; initially bringing to Teesside pellet
production for our core brand of Hula
Hoop Puft and then later in 2019 Pom
This role will
work in the Pellet Plant Line Team reporting directly to the Pellet Plant
Production Manager. All the activities

As an Equipment
Owner you will have responsibility for improving and sustaining results and
standards for the equipment you own through Autonomous Maintenance (AM)
methodology (including stops, breakdowns, and Daily Management Systems
in-process measures such as CL (Centre Lines), CIL (Clean, Inspect, Lubricate),
and DH (Defect Handling). You will have
responsibility for Ingredient Handling
and Quality and be asked to provide regular cover for the Process and
the plant with raw materials, accept deliveries and work between stock control

system is filled accordingly.

The role will operate within a 3 shift
rotating pattern (24/5) and you may be asked to travel to Germany at the end of
November / December 2018 (for four weeks) to complete training for this role
and so must have a current passport.
What we will ask of you:
- Own and drive
improvements on equipment within the pellet plant.
- Build AM capability
and qualification via the Equipment Owner Step up Card process.
- Effectively manage
start-ups, shutdowns and changeovers.
- Drive waste and losses
- Ensure key information
is effectively communicated to the next shift through the Shift Daily Direction
Setting (SDDS) process.
- Be a team player who
is proactive, enthusiastic, approachable and flexible in your daily tasks.
- Be able to communicate
with all members of staff, continuously seek improvement, take ownership and
- Have the ability to
use your own initiative and prioritise workload.
- Demonstrate problem
solving skills using the relevant IWS tools, with the ability to work with data
- Ideally have GCSE
(or equivalent) Maths and English and have experience working in a food process
- Have basic PC skills
and ideally a train the trainer qualification, Food Safety & Health and
Safety Levels 2.
- Have a current Fork Lift Truck licence although
not essential as full training will be provided.
You will also have the opportunity to express an interest
in being a Team Captain as part of this process, which means you would spend 20%
of your time supporting the shift as part of your normal day to day role.
